Lord, sometimes life is hard,
And we wonder how long.
But that is self pity.
And for us that is wrong.
A child of God holds on,
No matter what the cost.
We just don't give up.
That choice is for the lost!
You see sometimes our joy,
Just simply can not be found.
And so we pray to our Lord.
We can always find Him around!
Then we ask for His joy
On us to bestow.
And before we can think,
We feel our heart overflow!
Of course our troubles recede,
The moment He came.
We live through His love,
Oh, praise His dear name!
