Love is like a temporary state of madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides like the fading tide. It makes us do strange things or feel things we never thought we were capable of experiencing. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, and it’s not the proliferation of promises of eternal passion or romantic bliss. Love itself is what is left over when “being in love” has burned away. And when that burning and yearning sensation of “being in love” subsides, we need to make a decision! We must decide whether what we’ve experienced through our emotions and physical senses is worth more than just four bare legs in a bed. Our decision is also key too our physical and emotional well being! So, each individual must ask themselves when experiencing the twinge of doubt love can generate, are you in love with the state of “being in love” or was the “love” you felt your response to the “love” being given to you?
