I've been to several Zio's in Houston and even in Springfield Missouri, however, none match the value found at Zio's of Humble TX.

Top notch management of this restaurant deserves most of the credit. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is young, presentable, clean and always professional. The wait staff never attempts to amuse or befriend the guests, instead they are focused on great service and professionalism.

The food is always excellent and the prices are fantastic. I've always felt compelled to tip a little extra when visiting Zio's of Humble.

I love Outback's food, but when I break out my wallet, I get the sinking sensation that I shelled out way too many clams for the food and experience.

Outback's ambience is akin to a TGI Fridays/Chilis/Bennegins. The layout, the noise the festive atmosphere simply contrasts with the finer dinning prices.

I've been frequenting Mulligans for the past 10 years. The place simply has a great vibe on every visit. It's a great place for local neighbors to get together for drinks.

Additionally, one can't beat Mulligans for Football Sunday, there are tons of TV's and regulars who keep the flavor of football distinctive! (FYI the Chicken fajita nachos are the BOMB!! Try them.. you'll see!)

The only downside of Mulligans is Saturday nights Karaoke. Mulligan's probably has on of the best Karaoke catalogs in town, however, the play-list is so long your lucky if you get to sing more than twice.

Otherwise, Mulligans is the local 30-something's favorite place to hang!!

I hate to dog a place like Sherlocks, but here's the beef:

The place has a great vibe when you walk in the door. Tons of atmosphere, certainly reminiscent of an old English pub but something is always missing. The missing link in my opinion is variety. Sometimes one finds great comfort in knowing their local pub offers consistency upon every visit, however, Sherlocks simply delivers a really noisy busy atmosphere where one never really settles in.

Primarily a lot of this is driven by the live music on Saturday nights. Predominately the music is average or decent versions of alternative rock anyone can dial in on Houston Local Buzz. Recently, a friend of mine and I decided to swing into the Flashback. Mainly because I wanted to sing Karaoke. Mulligan's has been our favorite hang out for quite some time, however, if you get to sing twice on Karaoke night, your lucky.

So we dropped into Flashback back in July. I had been in Flashback on several occasions and usually the place was dead or full of folks in their 50's singing Sinatra & Tony Bennett tunes. (Nothing wrong with that but not what guys in their 30's are into).
