Last time I ate here, the food took over an hour to arrive. However, the food is very good, and it's definitely worth trying once.

We picked this place at random, during an afternoon's stopover on the way north: We were hungry, and it was the closest restaurant to our parking spot :) Spartan decor, IIRC. The food was delicious; the won-ton soup being particularly memorable. It was one of those experiences where we were so hungry that we got full quite fast. We were left staring at delicious food, but with no room to eat it. As the other reviewers noted: the bill was far less than we expected.

Can be a long wait, but is definitely worth it. They have the standard breakfast fare, as well as enough non-standard items to keep things interesting. The food is always timely and hot (Why is that so rare? Is it really so difficult?). An outstanding feature of the place is the amazing service, which is provided by some of Long Beach's finest hotties ;)
Lastly, a warning: The Chile Verde omelette is REALLY HOT and may cause permanent damage to your taste-buds.

After waiting an hour and a half for our food, we decided to leave. The restaurant was half empty, and we had ordered basic items. There was really no excuse for the delay. Our server was awful - never came to see if we needed anything. I think she was out smoking the whole time. They managed to pack up our food and hand it to us as we were trying to walk out the door. They wouldn't give us a discount on the bill. When we got home, we found super greasy food, swimming in rubbery cheese. These folks managed to make spaghetti too greasy. Ick.
I give it a 3 for ambiance because they had a super tacky waterfall in the main dining area. It was painted fluorescent colors, and lit by black lights. Heheh.

Great place: affordable and interesting food. Always feels like comfort food to me. Has a couple of different atmospheres: outdoor seating, bar seating, and semi-private booths in back.
It's located smack in the middle of J-town, to so there's great shopping and cool museums in the area.
I've had my taxes done by Todd for the last 2 years. He was recommended by a friend. The office staff are extremely helpful, great to work with.
Late at night, a few days back, I was in bed with my wife, reading. I must have had a dreamy look on my face, because she asked me what I was thinking about. I realized that I had stopped reading quite a while back, and had been thinking about a short non-fat Peets latte...
