Pick me up on your way down, when you're blue and all alone . . .
While taking a fall foliage tour, my Grandma and I spent the night at the Courtyard by Marriott in Spartanburg, SC. The hotel was very clean, the grounds and building were superbly maintained, the staff was quiet courteous, and the property was easily accessible to Business I-85. A great stay and a great value.

This hotel is convenient to getting around the French Quarter. Nice rooms and rates. The elevator is terribly slow, but everything else makes up for it.

You can't make a trip to New Orleans and the French Quarter without getting beignets and coffe at Cafe Du Monde. Great atmosphere to enjoy an open air treat!

Visited for Labor Day weekend 2006. Service was great, food was excellent. Enjoyed a seared tuna stuffed with chicken/crab. Jambalaya was good, but not great. I will definitely be going back!

I visit Pere Antoines every time that I go to New Orleans. They have a sampler entree called the New Orleans Sampler which provides portions of Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice, Shrimp Creole, Jambalaya, and Bread Pudding. It's not the best food in the quarter, but it's good, and the atmosphere is cool
