Being Indian, I've been spoiled with homemade food for much of my life. That means that I'm not prone to eating at Indian restaurants very often, unless they're really great values for decent food (Pakwan, Shalimar..). Most of the "nicer" Indian restaurants tend to be subpar at best, but Indian Oven stands out. Fresh meat dishes, a good variety of vegetarian dishes and of course, their signature Naan ensure that I recommend this place to my friends when they ask for "a good Indian restaurant". I'm a big fan :)

Just like Park Chow, it's sister (or is that brother..) restaurant, Chow is a great value that always satisfies. The food's always of a good quality, the menu has a great variety and the fact that they stock Chimay completes the picture :)
Despite the fact that there are several fantastic restaurants in the area that compete for attention, Fresca is always the busiest place on Fillmore St on a Friday or Saturday evening. Unlike other "trendy" spots, however, its line is well deserved. Very fresh food, authentic menu, delicious Sangria and a very open and fun kitchen means that I always leave feeling incredibly satisfied.
I have yet to have anything I wouldn't recommend, but for me the highlight has to be the Ceviche Sampler. Most people haven't ever had fresh, good ceviche and this is certainly a terrific place to come find it.

Ask for Alan during your tasting and he'll crack you up and ensure that you have a blast. While the wine is merely decent, the experience is great and honestly, isn't that at least half of what Napa is about? Our group thoroughly enjoyed the visit and we were pretty impressed by the Merlot and the Cabernet. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.
Although from the outside, Vivande looks more like a high end butcher's shop or something, once you step inside you'll realize that it's actually quite a small, quiet restaurant. Sit down and order the risotto, have a glass of wine and you'll never doubt it's true nature ever again. Every dish I've had here has been excellent, the wine list is fairly good and the desserts are.. well, just make sure you leave room for dessert. You can't go wrong with this restaurant and although it's a bit on the pricey side, it's certainly worth it.

No nonsense burrito place that is fast, cheap and delicious. Don't worry about not getting enough food at this place, you'll always come out feeling stuffed.

Great home made gnochhi that melts in your mouth. Try and ask for the basil 4 cheese sauce - it's not on the menu but they'll know what you're talking about. Really amazing.
