Italian in the Desert
Great Food, Great Atmosphere! My wife and I were in Scottsdale for the weekend and this place was recommended by a few of the locals...I'm very glad we went. Pizza was great, Spaghetti/Meatballs were out of this world.

One of the Best
The Lakewood Landing is one of the Porch staples (when we go out). Its laid back, its real, and the jukebox might be the best in town. The bugers are fantastic. Walking in this bar takes me back to Lawrence, Kansas in the 80s/90's (I'm old). The audience at the LL is authentic, not your typical Dallas crowd. Go here if you like the small town bar where everyone knows everyone else and it doesnt matter if your the 'new guy'.

Underwhelmed
I have been very excited about this restaurant over the last month as I knew I was taking the team there for a special event. I had read several articles mentioning what an impressive experience it was all the way around (atmosphere, food, service)...NOT SO MUCH.
There is little room and the lines are cut hard. I could hear every word spoken at multiple tables around ours.
Atmosphere - D (small, very contemporary, uncomfortable)
Food - C ("big plates, little food") this is not the place to go to if you are looking to cure a hunger. The appetizers were a little bizarre and the deserts were by far the biggest disappointment. The fish was better liked than anything other entree ordered
Service - B (nothing to speak of)
Cost - C- $102/pp (Drinks/Wine, Appetizer, Entree, Desert)

Hibiscus

A Date Night Must!
One of the best new Dallas Restaurants I have been to in quite some time. This place isn't your typical Dallas Scene, at least not yet. The menu was very versatile and offered quite a bit and a good range of continental american cuisine. I would certainly recommend Hibiscus!
Atmosphere - B+ (a little dark, but the feel was good...pretty authentic
Food - B+/A (Rebecca had the Crab/Tomato Salad, she loved it, thought it was the best thing about her dinner. I had Tenderloin for dinner, Rebecca had the Pork Chop, sides were great (mac and cheese casserole was awesome),
Service - B (Waiter was present sporadically throughout the dinner, nothing special)
Cost - $70/pp (Drinks, Appetizer, Salad, Entree, Desert)

Lousiville - Restaraunt Recap
This establishment was one of my favorites while living in Lousiville in the mid late 90's. I was a huge fan of the steaks served at Azalea's.

Another Neighborhood Favorite
we havent found anything wrong with Amore and we go there often. This very traditional italian spot offers great italian staples...chicken parm, lasagna, pizza and thier salad dressing is great. Its pretty small so our 18 month old was a little disruptive to the couple sitting 18 inches to our left.

Peggy Sues Reveiw (BBQ)
Peggy Sues has been a staple since I was in the 6th grade. my recent visit rates as following...Meat B+; Sauce B-; Sides B; Condements C; Surroundings B+.
Sauce is a little "mustardy" but the ok. Fried Pies to end the meal are not to be missed

Going Italian in Detroit
Chicken Parm...INCREDIBLE. Pizza...AWESOME. This little boutique restaurant in Ferndale Michigan is simple, its an old school italian spot with fantastic eats. The red wine is house made and a pretty good complement. There are no frills here.

Kuby's...dependable on two fronts
A true German Sausage House...the restaurant is authentic...no frills just good food. The breakfast is very dependable, you can count on great food. After breakfast do yourself a favor and stroll through the market and grab a steak or some suasage to throw on the grill. Thier meat is fresh and might be the best in town, a *real* butcher who knows how to cut meat is behind the counter.

On a Quest for the Best - BBQ
Being a BBQ LOVER this is a fantastic spot. The Prichard's (owners) run a very efficient BBQ joint.

Surroundings - B
The meats are high quality, the cooking is consistent and the food is dependable and delicous. As your heading through the cafeteria style line dont pass up the Baked Potatoe casserole, the Fried Okra, or the Squash casserole.
